The fleet composition and the trade area are major factors in the planning of the operations for a fleet of ships. By using the VesOPS platform, this information is always updated with the latest ship information. Data going to the system is validated and the analyses are therefore also always valid.
VesOPS offers predictions
By knowing the fleet status, it is therefore also a possibility to plan ahead for the challenges to come. By knowing actual and future regulations, it is possible to verify if the actual fleet composition is the right for the trade also years ahead. VesOPS offers predictions based on simulations with the current fleet and alterations to the fleet’s operations within areas like alternative fuels, carbon capture technologies and energy saving devices. The predictions will support a shipowner in the decisions on how to compose the future fleet structure and in the end support decisions in acquiring new tonnage and selling old.
Regulatory compliance is included in the predictions and that includes different options for including alternative fuels and pooling options for vessels with different GHG emissions figures.
The different trajectories for GHG emission values like FEM (EU), GFI (IMO) and commercial factors like Poseidon Principles can be predicted and actions to comply can be taken in due time.
